First Dance – Burlington Theatre

Exclusive offer to see to First Dance, a new play by Trevor Copp, Jeff Fox, and Lisa O’Connell that explores the significance of time-honoured ritual that for so many has no history. ‘First Dance’ is about a gay man getting married. It is three months after gay marriage becomes legal in Canada, and his friend and Professional Ballroom dance partner Jeff is helping him devise the first dance. Together, they set about creating a dance for a ritual that has no history.

Performances are August 18-20, 25-27, 8pm at the Burlington Student Theatre Centre and tickets are on sale now for $20 at http://totteringbiped.ca/
Special Offer: Group tickets of 20 or more, will get a private dance lesson with Trevor himself and TBT will make a $50 donation to PFLAG.
Founded by Artistic Director, Trevor Copp, Tottering Biped Theatre’s mission is to produce relevant, demanding theatre which explores the precarious state of the human experience and is deeply committed to producing plays for the Burlington public that might not otherwise be seen in the Burlington community. Trevor has chosen productions that create a raw dialogue about the human experience in an intelligent and highly theatrical way because Trevor believes that for art to change people, it must first agitate the mind and soul. It’s meant to be provocative
