The Picnic along the Parkway
Sunday, August 28th from 1 to 4pm
Let’s hope the weather is great!
It will be just south of the canoe and kayak rental place along Welland’s recreational waterway. I’ve picked this area because you can fish, swim, boat, run, walk, cycle, or just relax and have a picnic.
Remember it’s BYO Food and Drink.
From Niagara Street take Thorold Road east (it turns into Chippawa Street) to the canal. Turn left and head along the canal to the boat rental place. Here’s the Map. The location indicator on the map should be more north. You can see the boat rental place on the map. We should be a bit south of that. I’ll make sure I have some sort of marker this time.

In additional to food and drink remember blankets, chairs, bathing suit/birthday suit, and whatever other picnic things you may need. I did notice that there are a couple of picnic tables in the area but that’s about it.
Note: There is no rain date for this. If the weather sucks we will have to try again next year.
