Chair of the Board of Directors
An advocate for gay youth issues, Brian has carried a visible public presence in Niagara's Sexual and Gender-Diverse Community since his high school days. Founding the Gay, Lesbian Alliance with Straight Students (GLASS) at Sir Winston Churchill Secondary School was the beginning of Brian's quest for equality. That quest has lead him to the role or President of Brock Pride, where he championed the fight for unisex bathrooms and developed their newest constitution.
As Director and formerly Treasurer of Niagara Pride Support Services, Inc., Brian was on the forefront of activities which included Governance and Finance work, as well as his most recent work chairing the 3rd annual Queer Youth Conference in Niagara.
More recently, Brian was a member of the original "Pride Network of Niagara Steering Committee", which built the foundations for OUTniagara.
Brian has also served as Co-host of OUTspoken, a popular radio program for Niagara's sexual- and gender-diverse community, on CFBU, Brock Radio. He started on the program in September of 2005, and has recently announced that he will sign off for the last time at the end of January 2007.
Brian was elected Chair at the Annual General Meeting in May of 2007. Brian will continue as Chair of OUTniagara until the Annual General Meeting in 2009.

Dr. Hilary Findlay - hilary@outniagara.ca
Vice-Chair of the Board of Directors
Hilary is an associate professor at Brock University in the Department of Sport Management. She is also a practicing lawyer with a focus on sport law, and a partner with the Centre for Sport and Law.
Hilary was appointed to the Board of Directors in December 2006 to fill a vacancy on the Board.
Hilary was elected Vice-Chair at the Annual General Meeting in May of 2007. She will continue as Vice-Chair of OUTniagara until the Annual General Meeting in 2009.
Martha Hunt - martha@outniagara.ca
Secretary
Married to her partner and raising 3 children, Martha has a firm understanding of what it means to be a part of Niagara's Sexual and Gender-Diverse Community. A teacher at Kernahan Park Secondary School, Martha leads a support group for gay students. Having served nearly a decade in a Board capacity with the YWCA, Martha worked in roles such as Secretary, Vice President, and President. A strong supporter of the organization and the steering committee's work.
Martha is a contributor and co-editor of The OUTbox.
Martha was re-elected to her second term as Secretary at the Annual General Meeting held in May 2007.
Martha will continue in her role as Secretary until the Annual General Meeting in 2009.

Melissa Gray - melissa@outniagara.ca
Treasurer
As a parent and partner in the GLBTQ community, Melissa understands what our community members need from the organization. With over 12 years of Not-for-Profit Board experience, Melissa has worked with organizations, which include past Secretary and Treasurer to OUTniagara, In Honour of Womanhood, and continues to volunteer with the Lincoln and County Humane Society. Her dedication to the record keeping and development of the Steering Committee and then Pride Network of Niagara has been crucial in the early stages of this organization. Melissa is a Financial Security Advisor by trade and brings a wealth of financial experience to her filing the vacancy of Treasurer for the remainder of the year.

Dan Oakes - dan@outniagara.ca
Director
Dan is a retired elementary school teacher and vice-principal. he received a B.A. from Wilfred Laurier University and a Masters of Science in Education from Niagara University.
Dan has had many experiences on different boards and committees. He has served on the Niagara South Teachers' Negotiating Committee, where he was the Chair, Vice-Chair, and a member. Luckily for him, not all at the same time! Dan has also served as the President of the Welland Public School Teacher's Association.
Dan is the Chair of the Partner's Committee of OUTniagara.
We welcome Dan to his new role as Director on the Board of OUTniagara. Dan will serve as Director until the Annual General Meeting in 2008.

Debbie Belliveau - debbie@outniagara.ca
Director
Debbie was appointed to the Board of Directors in December 2006 to fill a vacancy.
Debbie is Empress VIII from the Imperial Sovereign Court of Hamilton. She has been deeply involved in all Court events in St. Catharines Niagara. She serves as Protocol Officer for the St. Catharines Court.
Debbie has long been a volunteer for OUTniagara.
At the Annual General Meeting in May 2007, Debbie was elected to the position of Director. Debbie will serve as Director until the Annual General Meeting in 2009.
Troy Brooks - troy@outniagara.ca
Director
Troy serves as the Academic Integrity Officer at Brock University. He brings with him many years of experience on various Boards - in various capacities.
Troy has been involved in social and community planning for several years.
At the Annual General Meeting in May 2007, Troy was elected to the position of Director. Troy will serve as Director until the Annual General Meeting in 2009.

Director
Nick works in Public Relations for a local resort. He has volunteered in the not-for-profit industry for many years. He has been actively involved in fundraising for Hospice Niagara.
Nick looks forward to working to make the sexual- and gender-diverse community of Niagara a better place.
At the Annual General Meeting in May 2007, Nick was elected to the position of Director. Nick will serve as Director until the Annual General Meeting in 2009.
